Blocket

During my time at Blocket, I worked as a designer in the team responsible for the chat function. My primary focus was to enhance security for buyers and sellers in the app, ensuring safer interactions through design solutions and user-centered development. In addition to security improvements, I worked on enhancing various services within the chat and contributed to optimizing other parts of the Blocket platform. My design work spanned across desktop, mobile, and the Blocket app for iOS and Android, ensuring a cohesive and seamless experience across all platforms.

By collaborating closely with developers, product owners, and security experts, I helped identify and address potential risks in the communication flow. We implemented improved verification mechanisms, clearer warnings, and more intuitive interfaces to reduce fraud risks and create a smoother trading experience.

Beyond security, I was involved in refining and expanding chat features to improve usability and engagement. My work also extended to other areas of the platform, where I contributed to optimizing user interactions and enhancing the overall experience.

The project required balancing increased security with maintaining a seamless user experience—an ongoing challenge where we leveraged iterative design and user testing to find solutions that both protected and simplified the experience for users.
